Exceptional rod blanks | 11/2/2019 |
These three blanks HHSB: 98,76,95 make exceptional rods I use foam casting grips and single foot ceramic guides & tip top, and no bling… only solid black or dk green thread. On small bushy streams I use the 76-3/4wt with H&H DT-3-F Hi Floater Line, where distance is not critical but maneuverability is where snags and brush are an extreme problem & most fish are less than 11“. I have brought to hand large 16” heavy Brown trout occasionally, in those small streams, and the rod has held up. Normally, the 9-5wt is my go to rod. On large, fast early spring snow melt streams I use the 9-8 wt. I have a short readjustment period between the rod wts, especially between the 9-5wt and the 76-3/4wt.

Amazing little blank | 9/30/2019 |
Very light blank and is way better than its 5WT brother. Its fun to cast and pairs with a wide variety of lines. I like the 444 Slyk 4WT DT for lite presentations, Wulff TT, and a mix of half size heavy 3WT lines.

New Blank | 6/9/2016 |
Bought this a little while back, built it in May, and fished it in early June. I must say it is one OUTSTANDING stick! I love the way it casts, fishes, and handles the trout. With H&Hs DT3F line, it doesnt get any better. I truly love this great little rod! Thanks to Ron and crew for providing a superb product at a great price. Their commitment to us fly guys shows, believe me. Thank you, John
