Round webby feathers at the top of the cape, excellent for mayfly wings. Complet mottling and markings in the mid and lower cape feathers, unique and exceptionally good for all soft hackle applications. Excellent substitution for many game bird feathers including partridge.
Instead of black barring, the grizzly part is a medium dun, from a bluish gray to a bluish brown. I'd use it for any pattern that called for grizzly, and focus on the light may fly or caddis patterns - try making a pale elk hair caddis with this!
Incredible price for an amazing collection - four gorgeous half- saddles in the pro-grade range having a range mainly in the sizing of 12 to 16. With each hackle tying around 250 flies, one is looking at a minimum of 1000 flies with this selection. The coloring shifts slightly but they all come with four different colors, one of which grizzly - generally the combo being dun, black, grizzly, and ginger. If you have a question, give a holler - these are just a phenom at a great price.
